On the cross Jesus has removed the curse once and for all. Yet, every day we encounter people, that are more connected to the curse than to the promise of God. On the cross, Jesus canceled the curse. In Galatians, it says Jesus has removed the curse, for it is written, "… cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree" (Galatians 3:13). When Jesus spread out his hands to be nailed to a cross, wearing a crown of thorns on His head, He broke the curse for us and everyone else who will believe on Him (see Acts 10:31; Romans 10:9). The curse is broken! If you're still experiencing the curse, I have good news for you, the curse was broken a long time ago.
The powers that be are ordained of God. For the Word of God tells us:
Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. (Romans 13:1,KJV)
Let me say something about authority. Spiritual authority supersedes any other kind of authority. Spiritual authority supersedes military authority. An example of this is when David suffered loss to the Philistines in a raid. David then inquired of God if he should pursue after his enemy? God instructed David to wait for a while until he hears the sound of going forth in the top of the mulberry trees, then he was to pursue (see 1 Chronicles 14:13-15). David recognized that spiritual authority supersedes military authority. When David heard that sound, he knew that battled had already been won. Spiritual authority superseded military authority.
Spiritual authority supersedes economic authority. It may appear that there are no jobs available but this doesn't not mean that you can't have a job, because spiritual authority is higher than economic authority. God will provide for you when you are under His Spiritual authority (Matthew 6:31-33; Philippians 4:19; Malachi 3:10-11).
Spiritual authority supersedes political authority. This nation is in a mess, but there is a spiritual authority. The curse has been broken, but we must exercise the spiritual authority given to us through Christ Jesus so that the blessing can be restored. Do not underestimate the role you play in restoring the blessing and breaking the curse, it is all a matter of authority. There is no authority higher than this authority, for God Himself said the powers that be are ordained of God.
We must take the authority that God has provided to us through our Lord Jesus Christ and use it to impact the military, economic and political authority in our world. (Ephesians 1:19-21; Matthew 10:1; Matthew 28:18-20; Romans 10:13; 1 Corinthians 15:24-28; Jude 1:25)
We intercede on behalf of our nation. Set the mirror of your Word in front of us so we can set our house in order. Let us be the kings and priests that you have declared us to be (Revelation 5:10). Establish us to be kings and queens under Your Divine authority. Let us then take the authority You have given us and set things in order. We understand that we have to sweep first around our own doorstep before we venture out to clean up the mess in the world. We now see that You have given us authority to change the world. Help us God to set things in order in the economic realm, in the realm of government, in every realm of authority. Let the spiritual supersede every other authority.
In our own families, we ask you to bring our loved ones into the Kingdom of God. Plow up the fallow ground of their heart. Do whatever you need to do to prepare them for the planting of the seed of the Word of God. Deliver them from the bondage of Satan. The curse is broken, we don't have to break it because You have already broke it. We just have to act on the authority that we have been given. So God set the captive free, open the prison doors. Let the chains fall off. Mend relationships. Heal broken hearts. Comfort the afflicted. The Word of God is full of Your promises. Let us act on these promises and receive the Blessing.
In the book of Deuteronomy, chapter thirty, verse nineteen, God said, "…I place before you Life and Death, Blessing and Curse. Choose life so that you and your children will live" (MSG). Today I make that choice. I choose the Blessing, and I choose Life that I and my children may live. Today is the day, I receive the authority of God.
In Jesus Name I pray,
